Aosta Valley by Bike

The Lower Aosta Valley is definitely a unique place, because it offers all bicycle lovers different paths to choose from. Starting from mountain bikes to racing bikes, through food and wine tours or easy family routes, every rider can find their own space here.

We chose the small town of Hone, because it is located in the center of 4 Valleys: the Champoluc and Gressoney Valley at the foot of the immense group of Monte Rosa, the Valtournenche in the presence of the majestic Matterhorn and finally the Champorcher Valley nestled in the small natural reserve of Mount Avic.

All these territories can in fact be visited starting directly from Hone or moving easily with the car to reach the departure of an infinite number of tours that will lead us to alpine refuges or unique natural balconies.

But we do not find places only related to simple and pure sporting pleasure. Between the villages of Fenis and Pont-Saint Martin it is also possible to visit some of the most important places for the culture and tradition of the Aosta Valley. Castles and museums, nestled between mountains and small hidden villages, are the ideal destination for families and history lovers.

Food is very important for Italians!

Each valley has its typical product, its recipe or more simply a different way of interpreting the culinary tradition. What better way, if not with a bicycle, to wander in peace and savor the delicacies proposed?

The lower valley is also crossed by road called “Route des vins“, or the road through the heroic vineyards, and offers all fans, the opportunity to visit different wineries and taste the many local wines.

We just have to take a bicycle and set off to discover this magical territory …
